    Nope, thank you.
Just by watching this video about "customize your phone" on iPhone, I'm still with my Android phone for about couple years or maybe forever.

    Viel Spass!

If you guys want more affordable icons without paying an arm and leg or searching all over the internet I suggest getting App Skins. Only $1 and comes with pretty cool themes. Also no ads or subscriptions like all the other apps I've seen https://apps.apple.com/us/app/app-skins-icons-themes/id1534368761 thank me later

  8. Paris Malaspinas says

OR just get an android and avoid this nonsense

  9. Abdalla says

Or just use a plain color wallpaper and add a photo widget again with plain color photo and you got the space for free

Great video! I wanted to let folks know about another app for customizing your home screen background, called Transparent App Icons – it's similar to Clear Spaces, but allows you to do icon-level customization (widgets can only do 2×2). If this is something you're interested in, here's a link! https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id1533210346?pt=118551115&ct=y&mt=8

OMG what a process!! Why do they have to make it so complicated?
Having said that, this is great because I've always been turned off by the generic Apple look. Thanks for the video … if I ever go back to Apple I'll be following your instructions.

  25. AnJai says

3:44 There is another shortcut that does allow you to launch the app directly, and it’s on Reddit, if I find the link I’ll post it

  26. Rommel the Cat says

Nice vid but sweet Jesus I guess iOS is intuitive in every area but customization. That's quite the process compared to Android.

  27. NoobyDuck Productions says

So basically a summary for people who don't want to watch the whole vid:

You can't customise ios 14 without sweating your butt off and spending even more money. So conclusion, get an android phone

  28. Cookie Rager says

its a shame that shortcuts open the shortcuts app, I wish you could bypass it. Really looking forward to the iPhone 12 review

    Two things:

    1. Coming from a 6-year android user and knowing how easy customization can be, I definitely would not put all that effort into changing up my home screens – especially since I know that I’ll eventually get bored of it and look for a new appearance later on.

    2. Which brings me to my second point of paying for all these widget and “icon packs”. Eventually…………one day……………..Apple will likely add more user control on customization and when that day comes those widgets and icon packs could very possibly become obsolete depending on how Apple integrates that customization.

In either case (free or paid) I just don’t see all that effort worth the final appearance, especially if you’re like me and will one day like to try some other appearance. That’s just how I feel about it anyways.

Definitely was a nice tutorial and I do like the way that particular Home Screen looks it’s just too much of a hassle.

p.s. I didn’t switch from android to iOS because of the new widget feature. (there are just many reasons that I’m not going to get into on here)

  30. M Morales says

Or just download Nova launcher with your favorite icon pack and… Oh wait… 🤣🤷🏻‍♂️

Soooo long to customize an iphone,, 😴 😴 😴,,,,

  32. Prince Revolver says

Apple gives you the ability to "customize" and still manages to make it a hassle.
