Chief Medical Officer Dr. Roshan Parasram says people under home quarantine do not need to present their employers with a sick leave certificate on their return to work.
He says these persons only need to provide employers with the letter of quarantine that would have been given to them by the County Medical Officer of Health.
Dr. Parasram explains that persons under home quarantine are those who may have been exposed to a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19 and are asymptomatic.
However, Dr. Parasram says the issue of sick leave comes into play for patients who were placed in home isolation, after testing Positive for the virus.
Responding to a question that certain employers are demanding a PCR Negative test before being allowed back into the workplace, Dr. Parasram says employers are urged to abide by the Guidelines.
